In-silico approaches for estimation of human health toxicological endpoints are a topic of increasing interest. To address this need, Fraunhofer ITEM is cooperating with RIVM (The Netherlands), offering a two-day training course on this topic at Fraunhofer ITEM in April 2019.
The focus will be on the background and application of QSAR models, read-across, and the TTC (threshold of toxicological concern) concept. Tools like the OECD QSAR toolbox will be introduced and used within the training. The application of in-silico approaches for ecotoxicological endpoints will not be addressed.
This training course has been designed for attendees with little or moderate experience in this subject area. (The course is not intended for experts, however, a training for experts could be offered upon request).
Registration is open. The number of participants is limited to 25.
