This year the annual meeting of BelTox will be organized as a joint event together with IC-3Rs and INVITROM, and will take place on 21st November 2019 at the Health Campus (buildings A and Basic-Fit) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Jette, Brussels.
The meeting will be centered around tools for 3Rs testing. The morning session will be focused on strategies as well as on in vitro and in silico methodologies for human toxicology and risk assessment. The afternoon session will cover 3R approaches in ecotoxicology and the use of artificial intelligence in risk assessment.
As a tradition in the BelTox annual meetings, there will be a young scientist oral presentation and poster session. The organizers particularly encourage young scientists at doctoral and postdoctoral level to submit abstracts and compete for the best oral presentation and poster. Other attendees are also welcome to participate in the poster session separate from the young scientist competition.
On 22nd November a workshop will be organized for young scientists that will focus on designing a research project according to the 3Rs principles. Only participants of the scientific meeting of November 21st can attend this workshop. Attendance is free but limited to 50 participants on a first come, first served basis (after expressing interest on inscription form).
